The Story Behind The Painting

Window of Opportunity (Graduate)

Congratulations to you graduate! Your hard work paid off.

This painting entitled, “Window of Opportunity”, was inspired by a rugged 4-wheel drive trip that we took near Ouray, Colorado. The old ghost town of Animas Forks had a few buildings that were being restored. One house, built by William Duncan, had a beautiful bay window. A rare site indeed for a ghost town! We got to view this famous bay window from the inside. The home was bought by Tom Walsh who discovered the famous Camp Bird gold and silver mine and whose daughter once owned the Hope Diamond. The view from this window is majestic, unveiling a high valley surrounded by towering mountain peaks.

As you look to the future, consider it as a window of opportunity. You did a great deal of hard work to get to this day. But all the study in the world cannot compare to the wisdom that comes from the Word of God. In all your acquiring of knowledge make sure you acquire wisdom too. Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, once said, “The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” Proverbs 19:8 Acquire wisdom and your window of opportunity will surely be blessed.
